Sir,

Greetings from Yamuna Jiye Abhiyaan.

Sir, allow us to address this petition to your honour in your capacity as the Chairman of the DDA.

We gather from press reports that DDA plans to auction some flats in the CWG village complex to assess their market value. In this context please allow us to raise few ponderables to factor in as the upset price for the said auction is prepared.

The DDA had created at least four permanent facilities utilising public funds namely a STP, a WTP, a Ranney well and a flyover on NH 24, which post games have now no public function (the unnecessary flyover has actually become a public nuisance creating avoidable traffic mess each morning and evening during the week days) and which now due to the location of the CWG village shall be used only by the owners/occupiers of the flats in the CWG village complex.

It will thus be in the fitness of things that the amount spent on their (STP, WTP, Ranney well and Flyover) creation is recovered from the owners of the CWG village complex which post sale shall become a private gated colony. Also the maintenance of these facilities (with the exception of say the flyover) be charged to them.

Sir, the reason we raise this matter is that if not considered then such investment of public money by the DDA for purely a private gated colony shall set a very wrong precedence whence DDA might be asked to create more such facilities by other private gated colonies (existing or planned) citing this as a precedence.

We make this request on an assumption that the above might have missed consideration by the DDA. But in case our assumption is wrong then this petition may kindly be ignored.
